Structural Engineer – Design Review

About the role

Bureau Veritas is seeking a Structural Engineer to lead design review and technical audit services for concrete, steel, composite, post‑tension, high‑rise, industrial and marine structures. The role involves close interaction with clients, internal teams and regulatory authorities.

Key responsibilities

• Perform design reviews, specialised studies and expert audits for a variety of structural projects.
• Prepare technical reports, attend client meetings and support the DR Team Leader in evaluating designs using 2D/3D software.
• Conduct site inspections, review material submittals, method statements and issue quality reports.
• Assist in commercial actions, tender preparation and cost estimation.

Required profile

• University degree in Engineering (post‑graduate preferred).
• Minimum 15 years of experience in structural engineering, with proven expertise in concrete and steel design.
• Strong knowledge of international codes (IBC, ACI, AISC, ASTM) and ability to produce technical reports in English.

Required skills

• Design review of concrete, steel, composite, post‑tension and marine structures.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and structural analysis software (finite‑element modelling).
• Familiarity with International Standards (BS, AISC, ACI, IBC) and local circulars.
• Advanced MS Office skills.
