Structural Inspector – Site Supervision

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Structural Inspector to join AECOM’s site supervision team in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing structural work on construction sites, ensuring compliance with building codes, safety standards and project specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Perform detailed inspections of structural components, materials and construction methods against approved plans.
• Monitor on‑site activities to verify adherence to safety protocols, building codes and UAE regulatory requirements.
• Identify deficiencies or deviations, recommend corrective actions and follow up on their implementation.
• Prepare comprehensive inspection reports and maintain organized records of test results and compliance documentation.
• Coordinate with project managers, contractors and engineering teams to resolve inspection findings.
• Verify the quality of materials and workmanship to ensure they meet established standards.
• Conduct site walkthroughs and progress assessments to track construction advancement and flag potential risks.

Required profile

• At least 6 years of professional experience in structural inspection and site supervision.
• Strong knowledge of building codes, construction standards and UAE regulatory requirements.
• Proven ability to analyse structural systems, materials and construction methodologies.
• Excellent documentation and report‑writing skills.
