Structures Lead (Construction Supervision)

About the role

We are seeking a Structures Lead to join a large‑scale project in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. The role oversees all aspects of structural steel construction, ensuring quality workmanship, safety compliance, and timely project delivery while leading a skilled on‑site team.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and manage all structural steel erection and fabrication activities on‑site, ensuring compliance with project specifications and engineering drawings.
• Lead, mentor, and coordinate a team of steel workers, inspectors, and support staff, fostering a culture of safety and excellence.
• Conduct daily site inspections and quality control checks to verify structural integrity, welding standards, and material specifications.
• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, progress reports, and documentation to track milestones and deliverables.
• Implement and enforce comprehensive safety protocols, conduct safety briefings, and ensure adherence to UAE regulations and international construction standards.
• Analyze project requirements, identify challenges, and develop effective solutions to maintain momentum and budget efficiency.
• Coordinate with design engineers, project managers, and clients to address technical issues and ensure seamless execution.
• Manage equipment, machinery, and material inventory on‑site, optimizing resource allocation and minimizing waste.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field (Master's preferred).
• Minimum 20 years of experience in structural engineering and construction management, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
• Proven expertise in heavy steel project management and on‑site coordination.
• Strong knowledge of structural steel fabrication, erection techniques, and welding standards.
• Comprehensive understanding of UAE construction regulations, safety codes, and international building standards.
