Student Aide – Support for Students of Determination

About the role

The Student Aide will work across multiple locations in the UAE, providing essential classroom and personal support to Students of Determination. You will help create a safe, inclusive environment that encourages academic and personal growth.

Key responsibilities

• Assist students with daily classroom activities, lesson participation, and transitions between classes.
• Provide physical support, including mobility, positioning, and use of adaptive equipment.
• Help with personal care tasks such as hygiene and feeding when required.
• Implement behavior management plans, de‑escalate challenging situations, and promote positive social interactions.
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and special‑needs teams, logging progress and incidents accurately.

Required profile

• Minimum high school certificate or higher qualification.
• At least one year of relevant experience (e.g., shadow teacher, teaching assistant, caregiver).
• Physically and medically fit to assist with student mobility.
• Excellent patience, empathy, and resilience.

Required skills

• Strong verbal and written communication in English.
• Basic proficiency in Tagalog (preferred).
