Student Counsellor – Full Time

About the role

GEMS World Academy Dubai is seeking a dedicated Student Counsellor to join its vibrant, multicultural community. The role begins in August 2026 and involves delivering high‑quality counselling and guidance services to students from PreK to Grade 12, supporting their academic, personal and social development.

Key responsibilities

• Provide individual and group counselling sessions aligned with the IB Learner Profile values.
• Support students navigating the PYP, MYP, DP and CP programmes.
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators and parents to create holistic support plans.
• Promote wellbeing initiatives and contribute to the Academy’s inclusive ethos.

Required profile

• Degree‑level qualification in Counselling or a related field (BA, BS or equivalent).
• Minimum three years’ experience as a school counsellor, preferably within an IB environment.
• Strong alignment with the IB philosophy and commitment to the Learner Profile.
• Passion for working in a non‑selective, culturally diverse community.
• Availability to start in August 2026.
