Student Recruitment Officer

About the role

The American University in the Emirates is seeking a highly efficient and professional Student Recruitment Officer to lead and coordinate student recruitment activities and provide advice, guidance, and assistance throughout the application and documentation processes for admission.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome prospective and newly admitted students and respond professionally to inquiries from students and parents.
• Conduct campus tours and represent AUE at education and career exhibitions locally and internationally.
• Deliver presentations for prospective students, parents, schools, and other stakeholders across the UAE and the Middle East.
• Process new student application files, ensuring all documentation is complete and accurate.
• Organise orientation programmes, workshops and engagement activities for new students.
• Plan and coordinate the university’s recruitment calendar and related events.
• Maintain accurate records, logs, databases and recruitment data.
• Support onboarding tasks such as housing, visa, tuition payment and other student‑related arrangements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Media and Communication, or a related field.
• Bilingual fluency in English and Arabic.
• 3–5 years of proven experience in student recruitment and enrollment within a reputable university or higher‑education institution.
• Demonstrated experience in admissions, enrollment and student engagement activities.
• Knowledge of multiple‑point marketing strategies (P2P, B2B, online and traditional media).
• Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with students, parents, schools and other stakeholders.
• Working knowledge of the UAE higher‑education sector.
• Strong organisational, interpersonal, presentation and customer‑service skills.

Required skills

• Knowledge of marketing strategies across peer‑to‑peer, business‑to‑business, online and traditional media channels.
• Relationship‑building and stakeholder‑management capabilities.
