Student Recruitment Officer

About the role

The American University in the Emirates is looking for a highly efficient Student Recruitment Officer to lead and coordinate recruitment activities. The role involves guiding prospective and newly admitted students through the application and documentation process while representing the university at local and international events.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome prospective and newly admitted students, respond to inquiries, and conduct campus tours.
• Represent AUE at education and career exhibitions across the UAE and the Middle East.
• Deliver professional presentations to students, parents, schools and other stakeholders.
• Process new student applications, ensuring completeness and accuracy of documentation.
• Organise orientation programmes, workshops and engagement activities for new students.
• Maintain accurate recruitment records, databases and reports.
• Support onboarding tasks such as housing, visa, tuition payment and other student‑related arrangements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Media and Communication, or a related field.
• Fluency in both English and Arabic.
• 3‑5 years of proven experience in student recruitment and enrollment within a reputable university or higher‑education institution.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with students, parents, schools and external partners.

Required skills

• Knowledge of multi‑channel marketing strategies (P2P, B2B, online and traditional media).
• Working knowledge of the UAE higher‑education sector.
• Strong organisational, interpersonal, presentation and customer‑service skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced, multicultural environment.
