Submission & Resubmission Officer

About the role

The Submission & Resubmission Officer will manage the end‑to‑end process of insurance claim filing, tracking and resubmission for patients at Royal Khalifa City Hospital. The role ensures accurate billing, timely submission to insurers and clear communication of claim status to patients.

Key responsibilities

• File and track insurance claims, informing patients of their status.
• Review and audit medical claims for accuracy and completeness.
• Handle resubmission of rejected claims, coordinating with doctors for necessary justifications.
• Ensure compliance with price lists, insurance provider manuals and billing codes.
• Notify Billing Officers of claim rejections and implement corrective actions.
• Submit claims using correct codes and formats within stipulated timelines.
• Adhere to occupational safety and health (OSH) and infection‑control policies, report hazards and participate in training.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a medical/paramedical field (e.g., Nursing, Pharmacy).
• Minimum 2 years experience in insurance claims management or adjudication.
• Strong knowledge of medical billing processes and insurance provider guidelines.
• Excellent spoken and written English.
