Superintendent – Lifting Operations (Offshore)

About the role

The Superintendent – Lifting Operations will lead all lifting and rigging activities for offshore facilities, including Wellhead Towers, subsea cable structures, piping systems, boat landings, foundation brackets and jackets. The role is based initially in Abu Dhabi’s contractor/fabrication yard and later rotates to the offshore site (6 weeks on/3 weeks off). Safety, efficiency and compliance are paramount.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and supervise all lifting and rigging operations across fabrication yards, marine bases and offshore sites.
• Review, approve and ensure execution of lifting plans, rigging procedures and load‑handling strategies.
• Manage crane deployment, rigging equipment utilization and heavy‑lift resources.
• Monitor lifting activities to meet safety targets, project schedules and quality standards.
• Lead critical, tandem and complex lifts, ensuring compliance with regulatory and HSE requirements.

Required profile

• Proven experience in offshore lifting operations and rigging management.
• Familiarity with Wellhead Tower, subsea cable, offshore piping and jacket installations.
• Ability to work in a rotating offshore schedule (6 weeks on/3 weeks off).
• Strong understanding of HSE standards and regulatory lifting requirements.
