Superintendent, Technical (Projects)

About the role

The Superintendent, Technical (Projects) will lead the planning, execution and delivery of shipbuilding, acquisition, repair, and conversion projects, including FSRU conversions of Moss‑type LNG vessels. This senior position reports to the VP‑Projects and works closely with engineering partners, shipyards and internal stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate all phases of shipping projects from concept through delivery, ensuring compliance with contracts, quality, HSE and environmental policies.
• Manage FSRU conversion projects, including design approval, cost estimating, scheduling and budget control.
• Oversee shipbuilding, dry‑dock repairs and modifications, reviewing technical specifications, tender documentation and change requests.
• Maintain strong relationships with shipyards, contractors and equipment manufacturers to ensure timely execution.
• Provide technical advice to management and clients, conduct peer reviews of proposals and support commercial negotiations.

Required profile

• 5‑10 years of managerial experience in maritime project execution, specifically FSRU or Moss‑type LNG vessel conversions.
• Proven track record of leading complex shipbuilding or conversion programmes across multiple jurisdictions.
• Strong understanding of IMO regulations, ADNOC Codes of Practice and international maritime standards.
• Fluent in English with professional proficiency in Arabic; knowledge of Korean or Mandarin is a plus.
