Superintendent – Vetting (Maritime Operations)

About the role

The Superintendent – Vetting leads the vetting and compliance function for ADNOC Logistics & Services' fleet. You will ensure that all vessels meet the highest standards of safety, environmental protection, and regulatory compliance through rigorous third‑party inspections and internal audits.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor daily marine operations to guarantee 100% vessel availability and optimal utilization.
• Conduct pre‑vetting, TMSA, Rightship, and SIRE inspections and follow up on corrective actions.
• Ensure vessel documentation, certifications, and crew competence comply with Oil Majors, OCIMF, ISM, ISPS, MLC, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 50001, ISO 55001, ISO 45001 and flag/port state requirements.
• Upload certificates and reports to the OCIMF database and close deficiencies promptly.
• Coordinate TMSA audits, root‑cause analyses, and preventive actions across departments and fleet vessels.
• Support the commercial team with vetting and ship clearance prior to fixtures.
• Facilitate communication between office, third‑party inspectors, port agents, and ship staff.

Required profile

• Proven experience in marine vetting, compliance or fleet management within the shipping or energy logistics sector.
• Strong knowledge of international maritime standards and regulatory frameworks.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Effective communication skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
