Supervisor - Construction (Mechanical)

About the role

Petrofac is seeking a Mechanical Construction Supervisor to lead on‑site activities across mechanical, piping, painting, insulation, refractory and fire‑proofing disciplines. You will ensure work is performed safely, to quality standards and in line with project schedules while supporting the company’s transition to alternative energy solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily construction activities and field personnel for mechanical and related disciplines.
• Conduct toolbox talks, HSE meetings and site walks to promote safety and address hazards.
• Monitor progress against specifications, quality targets, productivity goals and schedule.
• Prepare and submit reports on construction progress, manpower forecasts and any deviations from contract requirements.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, verify material handling, and resolve technical issues to keep the project on track.
• Coach and mentor less‑experienced staff and provide feedback through construction observation forms.
• Track and close site instructions and ensure inspection records are signed off with minimal punch‑list items.

Required profile

• Proven experience supervising mechanical construction projects, preferably in the energy sector.
• Strong knowledge of rotating equipment installation and maintenance (gas turbines, centrifugal and reciprocating compressors, steam turbines).
• Ability to enforce safety standards, conduct HSE activities and maintain a zero‑incident mindset.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and the capacity to work collaboratively with subcontractors.
