Supervisor HSE Project

About the role

Penspen is urgently seeking an experienced HSE Supervisor to lead health, safety and environment activities for an offshore PMC project in Abu Dhabi. The role involves implementing and enforcing HSE standards across all project phases, ensuring safe execution of high‑risk offshore operations.

Key responsibilities

• Implement, monitor and enforce HSE plans, procedures and safe work practices on offshore sites.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, client standards and international HSE guidelines.
• Conduct routine inspections, audits, safety walks and hazard identification (HAZID, JSA, toolbox talks).
• Monitor high‑risk activities such as lifting, hot work, confined space entry, work at height, SIMOPS and vessel operations.
• Maintain emergency response plans, conduct drills and ensure functional safety equipment.
• Deliver HSE inductions for new personnel and visitors.
• Prepare daily HSE logs, inspection reports and compliance checklists.
• Act as the HSE focal point between project management, construction teams, subcontractors and offshore operations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Safety or a related discipline.
• 12‑15+ years of experience in Oil & Gas, with at least 5 years in offshore HSE roles.
• Proven experience with PTW systems, SIMOPS and offshore safety regulations.
• Relevant certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA and ISO 45001 Lead Auditor (preferred).
• Previous experience with PMC/EPC mechanical construction and ADNOC offshore projects is an advantage.
