Supervisor Product Management – LV Switchgear

About the role

Vertiv is seeking a Supervisor Product Management to lead a small team in the design, development and validation of low‑voltage (LV) switchgear in Dubai. The role ensures products meet IEC 61439 standards and local UAE regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a UAE‑based development team, driving new high‑performance, cost‑effective LV switchgear products.
• Oversee IEC 61439 design verification, ensuring compliance for temperature rise, dielectric strength and short‑circuit withstand.
• Manage internal test lab and coordinate with external labs for type‑testing, prototyping and validation.
• Approve technical drawings, BOMs and design changes, driving value engineering and cost optimisation.
• Ensure products comply with UAE and regional authority regulations for switchgear and control panels.
• Manage projects from concept to commercialisation, aligning timelines, budgets and quality standards.
• Support manufacturing and factory readiness for new designs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Extensive experience in LV switchgear development, lab management, and compliance with IEC 61439 and UAE regulations.

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of IEC 61439‑1 & 2 standards.
• Experience with ASTA/KEMA certification and type‑testing procedures.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks (or similar CAD tools).
• Hands‑on prototyping and validation of switchgear enclosures.
• Value engineering and cost optimisation expertise.
• Knowledge of circuit breakers, switch devices and control gear.
