Supply Chain Logistics Specialist

About the role

The Supply Chain Logistics Specialist will manage the end‑to‑end movement of goods for POWERTECH, ensuring that all imports and exports clear UAE and international borders in full compliance with trade regulations. The role works closely with customs brokers, freight forwarders and government authorities to guarantee timely and accurate shipments.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee all import and export customs clearance activities with UAE customs authorities.
• Prepare, verify and submit trade documentation such as commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin and customs declarations.
• Support export control compliance and manage strategic goods obligations.
• Review customs duty calculations, tariff classifications (HS codes) and apply duty relief schemes.
• Ensure dangerous goods and dual‑use items are correctly classified, packaged, labelled and documented according to IATA DGR and UAE regulations.
• Monitor broker performance against SLAs and escalate issues to the Logistics Manager.

Required profile

• 6‑8 years of experience in customs operations, trade compliance or regulated logistics.
• Strong knowledge of UAE customs regulations, GCC Customs Union provisions and international trade agreements.
• Ability to resolve customs holds, queries and inspections promptly.
• Excellent attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
