Supply Chain Manager

About the role

Our client is looking for a strategic, hands‑on Supply Chain Manager to lead end‑to‑end supply chain activities across procurement, logistics, material management and distribution. The role bridges engineering requirements with a global supplier network to ensure high‑quality materials are delivered on time and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee procurement, logistics, material management and distribution, with a focus on procurement and logistics.
• Identify, evaluate and manage relationships with key vendors of engineering components, raw materials and specialised tooling.
• Develop and implement inventory control strategies that minimise carrying costs while preventing production downtime.
• Manage domestic and international shipping, customs compliance and warehousing to guarantee seamless delivery to project sites.
• Negotiate high‑value contracts and lead cost‑reduction initiatives without compromising quality.
• Monitor global market trends and supply‑chain disruptions to create robust contingency plans.
• Collaborate with engineering and project‑management teams to align procurement schedules with project timelines.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Engineering or Business.
• 5+ years of supply‑chain or procurement experience, preferably in an engineering or manufacturing environment.
• Strong experience in procurement and logistics.
• Proficiency with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle or Microsoft Dynamics and advanced Excel skills.
• Relevant certifications (CSCP, CPIM or CPSM) are highly desirable.
• Analytical ability to identify efficiency opportunities and strong negotiation skills.
• Capability to adapt quickly to global logistics challenges and maintain operational continuity.
• Attention to detail in material specifications and delivery timelines.
• Ability to operate at a senior level and contribute to key business decisions.
