Sustaining Engineer I – PLM

About the role

The Sustaining Engineer I – PLM will own and maintain the Busbar Product Lifecycle Management system, ensuring production‑ready designs throughout the product lifecycle. You will respond quickly to design‑related production issues and drive Design for Manufacturability improvements for safety, quality and efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the Busbar design within the PLM system and ensure data accuracy.
• Identify and coordinate cross‑functional Design for Manufacturability improvements.
• Provide design support for production issues and supply‑chain constraints.
• Support New Product Development and Introduction (NPDI) activities.
• Validate the quality of engineered‑to‑order designs before release to production.

Required profile

• 1‑3+ years of product design experience, including sheet‑metal and copper design.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to lead cross‑functional teams.

Required skills

• 3D modeling and 2D drafting.
• Experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems.
• Sheet‑metal and copper design expertise.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
