SVP & Head of Corporate Credit – Dubai (Emiratized)

About the role

The Senior Vice President and Head of Credit for the Corporate Core portfolio will lead credit underwriting, monitoring and policy enforcement for a major UAE bank. This Emiratized position reports to the Head of Division and works closely with coverage, product and risk teams.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure all credit applications meet standards, format and turnaround time.
• Monitor credit portfolios regularly to detect early issues and keep deviations from policy minimal.
• Prepare underwriting memos, liquidity analysis and convene portfolio meetings with stakeholders.
• Advise coverage teams on risk factors for complex or high‑risk transactions.
• Oversee due‑diligence, incorporate emerging risk factors into term sheets and credit applications.
• Participate in client meetings to discuss risk, structure and due‑diligence requirements.
• Guide a team of analysts, ensuring accurate analysis and compliance with credit policies.
• Identify future capacity and skill needs, cross‑train staff and retain key talent.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in corporate credit underwriting and portfolio management.
• Proven ability to lead and develop a team of analysts.
• Strong knowledge of credit policies, risk assessment and regulatory reporting.
• Excellent collaboration skills with coverage, product and risk functions.
