Synthetic Flight Instructor

About the role

Etihad Airways is seeking a Synthetic Flight Instructor to deliver high‑quality simulator and ground training for its flight crew. Working from the Abu Dhabi hub, you will ensure pilots meet GCAA regulations and airline standards while fostering a strong safety culture.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver simulator and classroom training in line with approved lesson plans, courseware, and GCAA requirements.
• Conduct programmes for pilot transition, recurrent checks, and type‑rating qualifications.
• Monitor pilot performance, provide coaching, and recommend remedial training when needed.
• Maintain accurate training records, reports, and documentation.
• Collaborate with Crew Training Management to address training matters and support pilot development.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of training curricula and lesson plans.
• Escalate performance or safety concerns to management promptly.

Required profile

• Qualified as a Synthetic Flight Instructor (SFI) and/or Synthetic Flight Examiner (SFE).
• Valid Airline Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL) for the relevant aircraft category.
• Minimum 1,500 flight hours on multi‑pilot aircraft.
• Prior instructional or training experience in a commercial airline environment is preferred.
