System Administrator – Enterprise Infrastructure

About the role

We are seeking a seasoned System Administrator to work closely with our Infrastructure Specialist in building, maintaining, and troubleshooting a large‑scale enterprise environment in Abu Dhabi. The role focuses on ensuring high availability, performance, and security of critical applications across Windows and Linux platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Systems Infrastructure Specialist to deliver mission‑critical applications.
• Install, configure, test and maintain Windows and Linux operating systems, critical software, and management tools.
• Design, implement and manage high‑availability solutions such as clustering and load balancing.
• Deploy and administer virtual environments using Hyper‑V and Citrix.
• Configure network devices, VLANs, routing, and access‑list policies.
• Install, configure and manage SAN storage and fiber‑channel switches (EMC, IBM).
• Provide third‑level support for complex infrastructure issues.
• Utilize monitoring and automation tools (MS Configuration Manager, Chef) to streamline operations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field (Master’s a plus).
• Minimum 8 years of experience delivering large enterprise solutions.
• Proven expertise in Windows, UNIX/Linux environments and storage solutions.
• Strong background in LAN/WAN networking and infrastructure monitoring.
• Experience with automation deployment tools and scripting.
• Knowledge of Oracle databases, SQL, and big‑data platforms is advantageous.
