Tax Accountant

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Tax Accountant to support our clients in managing their financial records, preparing accounts, ensuring tax compliance, and providing strategic tax advice. The role involves handling multiple client accounts, preparing tax returns, and staying up‑to‑date with UAE tax regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain full sets of accounting records, including AP, AR, GL, bank transactions, accruals, pre‑payments and fixed assets.
• Perform bank, balance‑sheet and general‑ledger reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Execute monthly, quarterly and annual closing processes for clients.
• Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules in line with applicable accounting standards.
• Calculate, review and file VAT, Corporate Tax and other tax returns, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Liaise directly with clients to collect financial information and clarify accounting or tax matters.
• Support external and tax audits by preparing necessary schedules and documentation.
• Monitor changes in accounting standards and tax regulations to keep client records compliant.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation or a related field.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in accounting and tax, preferably within UAE practices.
• Strong knowledge of VAT and Corporate Tax requirements.
• Experience handling accounting and tax matters for multiple clients, preferably from a Big 4 or similar advisory firm.
• Excellent attention to detail, accuracy and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
