Tax Manager

About the role

The Tax Manager leads the organisation's tax function, providing strategic guidance, ensuring compliance with tax legislation, and developing planning strategies that minimise liabilities while maximising benefits. The role works closely with finance, accounting and legal teams to align tax initiatives with business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement tax planning strategies to reduce liabilities and capture savings.
• Oversee accurate and timely preparation, filing and reporting of all tax returns.
• Manage tax audits, appeals and controversy resolution, maintaining effective relationships with tax authorities.
• Conduct in‑depth tax research and provide technical guidance on corporate tax, VAT and international tax matters.
• Lead, coach and develop a team of tax professionals.
• Identify, assess and mitigate tax risks, implementing internal controls and best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accountancy, Finance or related field; Master’s preferred.
• Professional certification such as CA, CPA or ACCA.
• Proven experience in tax planning, compliance and audit management.
• Strong analytical abilities and knowledge of evolving tax legislation.
