TBM Superintendent – Lead Tunneling Operations

About the role

The Boring Company is seeking a senior TBM Superintendent to lead tunnel boring machine operations on a high‑profile project in Dubai. This on‑site role owns safety, production and crew performance across all shifts, from heading to shaft to surface.

Key responsibilities

• Direct all TBM tunneling activities, including excavation, ground support, utilities installation, conveyor and muck handling, and underground logistics.
• Own the full production system – segment and material supply, spoil removal, shaft operations and surface support to sustain continuous mining.
• Develop shift plans, production targets and look‑ahead schedules in coordination with project management and engineering.
• Lead, mentor and evaluate foremen and crews, ensuring clear handoffs between shifts.
• Enforce safety standards, SOPs and engineering requirements, and lead incident prevention, investigation and corrective actions.

Required profile

• 8+ years of underground tunneling or mining experience with significant time on TBM projects.
• Prior experience as a Superintendent, Lead or senior Foreman managing multiple crews on TBM operations.
• Proven track record of delivering safe production under demanding schedules.
• Willingness to relocate to Dubai and work 24/7 rotating shift operations.

Required skills

• Deep working knowledge of TBM systems.
• Expertise in ground support, ventilation and dewatering.
• Experience with underground logistics and material handling.
• Ability to anticipate and resolve mechanical, electrical and ground‑condition issues.
