Teacher - Design Technology (AY27/28)

About the role

Aldar Education, the leading education group in Abu Dhabi, is seeking a Design Technology teacher to join its growing family of schools starting in the 2027-28 academic year. The school offers a play-based, nurturing learning environment that supports students' academic, social and personal development, and the teacher must be able to deliver hybrid, distance and face-to-face lessons.

Key responsibilities

• Teach Design Technology using the school's curriculum, syllabus, materials and schemes of work, and organize classroom resources and displays
• Plan lessons and sequences in the long, medium and short term, setting clear objectives and adapting to pupils' needs
• Motivate students with enjoyable, creative lessons that challenge them and promote critical thinking
• Support SEN (POD), EAL and G&T students through differentiation
• Manage classes effectively, follow school policies on behaviour, code of conduct and child safeguarding, and maintain good relationships with pupils
• Be a positive role model and ensure a safe, secure environment for social, emotional and academic growth

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in a related subject with PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification
• At least 2 years of experience in a similar role
• Mandatory experience in an international school
• Experience working with EAL students
• Recent and consistent involvement in extra-curricular activities
• Ability to deal professionally with a range of stakeholders and to communicate with parents in a diverse, multi-cultural environment
