Teaching Assistant & Bus Attendant (School Support)

About the role

The school is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant & Bus Attendant to support classroom learning and ensure safe transportation for students.

Key responsibilities

• Support the classroom teacher by preparing materials, setting up audio equipment, managing attendance and maintaining supplies.
• Supervise students during snack time, assist with classroom clean‑up and organise educational displays.
• Perform office tasks such as photocopying, filing and answering phones as needed.
• Ensure student safety on the school bus: check attendance, enforce seat‑belt use, monitor behaviour and hand over children to authorised adults.
• Report any safeguarding or health‑and‑safety concerns to the transport manager or school leadership.

Required profile

• Minimum high school diploma.
• At least 2 years experience as a teaching assistant or in a similar support role.
• Strong oral and written English communication skills.
• Professional attitude with a commitment to child safeguarding and welfare.

Required skills

• Ability to use classroom and instructional equipment.
• Good organisational and time‑management abilities.
• Interpersonal skills to work effectively with teachers, parents and students.
