Teaching Assistant & Bus Supervisor

About the role

The Teaching Assistant & Bus Supervisor supports classroom learning and ensures the safe transport of students at Aspen Heights British School. The role combines classroom assistance, student wellbeing, and bus supervision duties.

Key responsibilities

• Assist teachers with lesson preparation, material setup, ICT equipment, and individual student support.
• Supervise students on the school bus, manage boarding and alighting, enforce safety and discipline, and conduct pre‑ and post‑trip vehicle inspections.
• Provide first‑aid, implement emergency procedures, and maintain attendance records on the bus.
• Support children during transitions, playground supervision, and cloakroom management.
• Prepare and tidy art, craft, and learning resources, and display student work appropriately.

Required profile

• Minimum diploma or equivalent with at least two years’ experience as a teaching or bus assistant in a school setting.
• Strong communication skills in English, both spoken and written, and a professional attitude toward safeguarding and child welfare.
• Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, staff, and parents while maintaining confidentiality.

Required skills

• Proficiency in operating computers, iPads, digital cameras and educational robotics tools such as Bee Bot.
• First‑aid certification and ability to perform vehicle safety inspections.
