Teaching Assistant & School Bus Attendant

About the role

Nibras International School is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant & Bus Attendant to join its team. The role combines classroom support with responsibility for student safety during bus travel, ensuring a nurturing and secure environment for all pupils.

Key responsibilities

• Organise and distribute project materials, set up audio equipment, and record attendance.
• Maintain classroom supplies, clean workspaces and assist children in retrieving materials.
• Support the classroom teacher with instructional activities, classroom management and special learning reinforcement.
• Supervise snack times and other related duties, ensuring student wellbeing.
• Perform office assistance tasks such as photocopying, filing and answering the telephone when required.
• Ensure all students are seated and belted on the school bus, check attendance before departure and upon arrival.
• Monitor student behaviour on the bus, report any issues to the transport manager and hand over children to authorised adults at drop‑off.

Required profile

• Minimum high school diploma.
• At least 2 years’ experience as a teaching assistant or in a comparable role.
• Strong oral and written communication skills in English.
• Professional attitude with a commitment to safeguarding and child welfare.
• Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents and transport staff.
