Teaching Assistant (UAE Nationals Only) – Primary School

About the role

GEMS Jumeirah Primary School in Al Safa 1, Dubai, is seeking dedicated Emirati nationals to join its classroom teams as Teaching Assistants. You will work with children aged 3‑11, supporting teachers and contributing to a vibrant, student‑centred learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist teachers with reading activities and small‑group work.
• Prepare, tidy, and display classroom materials and resources.
• Photocopy documents, create worksheets, and support ICT‑related tasks.
• Cover the class briefly in emergencies and manage student wellbeing, including bathroom and hygiene assistance.
• Maintain classroom stock, organise supplies, and ensure a clean environment.
• Participate in staff meetings, committees, and uphold school policies and confidentiality.

Required profile

• UAE passport holder with a valid Family Book.
• Good general education, especially in Mathematics and English.
• Previous experience as a teaching assistant or working with children is preferred.

Required skills

• Basic ICT (computer) skills.
