Team Leader – Direct Procurement

About the role

Julphar is seeking a Team Leader for Direct Procurement to manage purchase order creation and validation for pharmaceutical raw materials and finished products. The role ensures that purchased items meet specifications, negotiates terms, and oversees supplier performance to support the company’s mission of delivering quality healthcare solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Create and validate purchase orders for raw materials, commercial items, and finished products using the approved vendor list.
• Negotiate purchase terms, evaluate supplier performance, and ensure products meet required specifications.
• Monitor day‑to‑day purchase requisitions and deliveries across the department.
• Resolve supply issues, manage vendor payments, and ensure timely deliveries.
• Report procurement key performance indicators and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of supply chain experience, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry.
• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmaceutical Science; procurement or supply‑chain certification is a plus.
• Strong accountability, solution‑centric mindset, and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
• Excellent understanding of pharmaceutical business with strong negotiation and cost‑consciousness skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Experience with SAP and SAP Ariba.
• Ability to use data analysis tools for reporting and decision‑making.
