Team Leader – Integrated Management System (IMS)

About the role

The Team Leader – Integrated Management System (IMS) will head the design, implementation and continuous improvement of CARACAL’s quality, health, safety and environmental management framework. Reporting to senior leadership, the role ensures the organisation meets ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards while fostering a culture of compliance and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the rollout and maintenance of the Integrated Management System covering quality, HSE and environmental aspects.
• Plan, schedule and oversee internal and external audits, management reviews and corrective‑action processes.
• Monitor IMS performance metrics, drive continuous‑improvement projects and ensure alignment with regulatory and customer requirements.
• Support risk‑assessment activities, process optimisation and sustainability initiatives across manufacturing and engineering functions.
• Provide training, guidance and mentorship to cross‑functional teams on IMS procedures and best practices.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, HSE or a related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of experience managing IMS, quality or HSE systems in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
• Proven leadership, communication and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• Experience within defence, aerospace or related high‑tech industries is preferred.

Required skills

• IRCA Lead Auditor certification for ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards.
• Expertise in audit planning, corrective‑action handling and risk management.
• Familiarity with OSH Practitioner certification (preferred).
