Team Leader

About the role

The Team Leader will oversee the daily operations of the workshop, ensuring that technicians deliver high‑quality repairs on time while maintaining safety and efficiency. This role bridges the gap between service advisors and technicians, translating customer concerns into actionable work orders.

Key responsibilities

• Allocate work orders to technicians and monitor progress.
• Ensure accurate clock‑in/out and productivity tracking.
• Maintain workshop efficiency, reduce lost time, and meet repair timelines.
• Collaborate with Service Advisors to clarify customer issues and create clear instructions.
• Provide technical guidance, coaching, and mentorship to technicians.
• Verify repairs follow manufacturer procedures and workshop manuals.
• Conduct inspections, road tests, and diagnostics to assess vehicle issues.
• Identify repeat problems and work with manufacturers for technical assistance.
• Perform quality‑control checks and report any tool, equipment, or resource issues.
• Support Service Advisors with diagnostics and vehicle handovers when needed.
• Promote safe work practices and protect customer property and the environment.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Automotive Engineering, Automotive Technology or related field.
• Minimum 4 years of automotive technician experience.
• Relevant technical certification or qualification.
• Previous supervisory or senior technician experience preferred.
• Valid UAE driving licence.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Organised, able to prioritise tasks without compromising quality.
