Technical Accounting Manager

About the role

Namaa builds and operates tech-enabled urban infrastructure for fast, reliable access to meals, groceries and everyday essentials, serving digital food and quick commerce ecosystems across the Middle East. Its business units include KitchenPark, CloudRetail and Profood Properties. This Technical Accounting Manager role is based in the Dubai office, which is fully onsite, five days a week.

Key responsibilities

• Own the technical accounting agenda, including drafting and maintaining global accounting policies, memos and guidance notes.
• Provide technical IFRS advice on transactions such as M&A, restructurings, new contracts, debt and equity issuances and joint ventures.
• Partner with auditors, legal, tax, FP&A and senior leadership to resolve complex accounting matters.
• Lead and manage projects for new IFRS implementations, system changes and reporting enhancements.
• Keep business stakeholders informed of emerging accounting standards, local GCC regulations and industry best practices.
• Represent the company with external auditors and contribute to comment letters or industry forums where relevant.

Required profile

• 7-10 years of relevant experience, with at least 5 years in technical accounting or financial reporting.
• Strong exposure to IFRS standards (IFRS 9, 15, 16, 3, 10).
• Experience drafting technical accounting memos, policies and position papers.
• A professional qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CPA (or equivalent).
• Background in Big 4 accounting/advisory (Audit, Accounting Advisory Services or Transaction Accounting) strongly preferred.
• Ability to work independently, conduct in-depth technical research and explain complex issues to non-finance stakeholders.
• Experience managing regional or multi-jurisdictional entities in the GCC is a strong plus.
