Technical Advisor – Volvo Personal Service (Andon)

About the role

The Andon (Technical Advisor) leads and coaches the Volvo Personal Service team, driving superior customer experience and workshop efficiency while controlling costs. The role focuses on continuous improvement, meeting high performance targets and supporting value‑added service sales.

Key responsibilities

• Lead daily team meetings, review agenda, and ensure work‑in‑progress stays under two days of workshop capacity.
• Monitor and follow up on team KPIs, maintain the Visual Planning board, and manage daily planning to predict support needs.
• Provide first‑line technical and administrative support to resolve production planning issues and meet Volvo ITC targets.
• Coordinate workshop improvement projects aimed at increasing productivity by 10% each year.
• Enforce 5S principles, achieving zero open points from workshop audits.
• Develop the team’s ability to sell accessories, tinting, tires, batteries and other value‑added services, meeting sales targets.
• Achieve customer retention goals by proposing relevant services and maintaining an NPS above 70%.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading a service or workshop team in an automotive environment.
• Strong focus on customer satisfaction with a track record of achieving NPS >70%.
• Ability to drive productivity improvements and meet or exceed productivity targets (>100%).

Required skills

• Familiarity with Volvo ITC system.
• Knowledge of 5S methodology.
• Experience using Visual Planning boards for workshop scheduling.
