Technical Manager - Aluminum Systems Fabrication

About the role

A leading manufacturing company based in Dubai, UAE, is recruiting a Technical Manager for its aluminum systems fabrication business. The role leads the pre-sales technical team, technical coordinators and design engineers across several projects, and drives the development of CNC-based solutions for metal fabrication, aluminum systems and automotive production lines.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the pre-sales technical team, technical coordinators and design engineers across multiple projects
• Drive the development of CNC-based solutions for metal fabrication, aluminum system processing and automotive production lines
• Engage directly with customers to understand production requirements, cycle times, material specifications and automation needs
• Define and optimize full production line layouts, including cutting, forming, machining, welding and finishing processes
• Translate customer requirements into technically feasible, efficient and scalable solutions
• Lead technical negotiations with customers and coordinate with international suppliers to select machines and technologies
• Negotiate technical configurations, customization scope, delivery timelines and performance criteria with suppliers
• Review and approve engineering designs, layout drawings and machine integration plans, ensuring compatibility of CNC machines, robotics and material handling systems
• Drive cost optimization through value engineering, standardization and efficient system design
• Support the sales team with technical presentations, proposals and solution justifications, and oversee technical proposals and documentation
• Provide technical support during project execution, installation and commissioning when required
• Establish best practices, technical standards and continuous improvement initiatives within the department

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics or Industrial Engineering
• 5 to 10+ years of experience in CNC machinery, metal/aluminum systems fabrication or automotive manufacturing
• Good command of Chinese
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
