Technical Project Manager - Red Hat EMEA Services

About the role

The Red Hat Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) Services team is looking for a Technical Project Manager to join in Dubai, UAE. The role manages services projects from initiation through delivery and closure, coordinates cross-functional teams, sets metrics for key project criteria and reviews project economics including costs, budgets, staffing, resources and risks. It is open to UAE residents.

Key responsibilities

• Guide project planning, scheduling, monitoring and reporting for Red Hat's services projects with minimal direction
• Handle requirements, scope and change management, ensuring compliance with legally binding requirements
• Develop project control solutions integrating project management tools, and work with management on proposals, bids, contracts, estimates and schedules
• Plan, schedule, monitor and report on project activities, including subcontractor monitoring
• Set metrics for key project criteria, develop control and reporting procedures and manage changes to operational plans
• Take part in status review meetings with the project team and customers, and submit weekly timesheets and timecards on time
• Apply industry and technical delivery methodologies such as PMI/PMP and Red Hat's services project management methodology
• Help train the project team on procedures and processes, and coach team members on meeting schedules and resolving issues

Required profile

• Solid 2-3 years of experience in a project management role managing IT-based projects
• Record of successfully managing complex projects and multicultural or multidisciplinary teams
• Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal, leadership and analytical skills, and business judgment
• Ability to work independently with a diverse management team and partners, in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
• Good balance of business and technical experience
• English communication skills
• PMI and PMP certification or a Master of Science in Project Management (MSPM) degree, or equivalent, is a plus
