Technical Service Manager – Refining Catalysts

About the role

The Technical Service Manager – Refining Catalysts provides expert technical support for FCC catalyst and additive applications, working closely with refinery customers and internal teams to optimise performance and drive business growth.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver technical expertise for FCC catalyst and additive portfolios, including performance monitoring, troubleshooting and unit optimisation.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships through site visits, technical reviews, start‑up and turnaround support.
• Analyse refinery operating data to identify improvement opportunities and provide value‑driven recommendations.
• Lead resolution of complex technical challenges while aligning with customer and business objectives.
• Collaborate with commercial, R&D, manufacturing and product management to develop and commercialise innovative catalyst solutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of direct FCC experience in a refinery, licensor, catalyst supplier or additive manufacturer.
• Strong business acumen with ability to translate technical solutions into measurable customer value.
• Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 30% of working time.
