Technical Services Engineer I – Airframe Mechanical Systems

About the role

Emirates is seeking a Technical Services Engineer I to provide fleet technical management and continuing airworthiness support for its Airframe Mechanical Systems. The role ensures compliance with regulatory and safety requirements while driving reliability, passenger comfort and cost‑effectiveness.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate manufacturers' and regulatory technical documents, update internal engineering orders and special workcards.
• Review in‑service data (tech logs, pilot reports, defects) and implement actions to improve fleet reliability and maintainability.
• Provide technical assistance during disruptions, handling AOG, troubleshooting chronic and deferred defects, and managing technical delays.
• Perform design organisation activities, including SOP development, in‑house repairs, use of alternate parts and deviations under Part 21 Design Organisation privileges.
• Act as liaison with aircraft, engine and component manufacturers and internal stakeholders to resolve significant faults and quality issues.
• Lead project management for major modifications, retrofits, cabin reconfigurations and aircraft phase‑out, preparing cost‑benefit studies and budget proposals.

Required profile

• Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent) in Aeronautical, Avionics, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or an Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Licence.
• More than 10 years of engineering experience, with at least 8 years in Technical Services and 5 years on Emirates‑type aircraft systems.
• Demonstrated ability to analyse technical data, produce reports and make cost‑effective recommendations.
