Technician Oil Spill Control

About the role

ADNOC is seeking a Technician specialized in Oil Spill Control to support its Oil Spill Response (OSR) and Hazmat emergency plans. The role focuses on deploying anti‑pollution equipment and ensuring rapid, safe response to minimise environmental and financial impact.

Key responsibilities

• Deploy anti‑pollution equipment, including oil dispersant sprayers and chemicals, according to operational instructions.
• Follow site waste‑management procedures and meet regulatory obligations.
• Select appropriate oil‑spill response equipment as directed by supervisors.
• Conduct pre‑operational equipment checks using manufacturer specifications and standard operating procedures.

Required profile

• Secondary School Certificate with a vocational trade certificate in a relevant field.
• 0‑3 years of experience in crisis, emergency or Hazmat response, preferably within the oil & gas sector.

Required skills

• Operation of oil dispersant sprayers and related anti‑pollution equipment.
• Performing equipment pre‑operational checks and maintenance.
• Knowledge of hazardous material handling and waste‑management procedures.
