Teller - Floater

About the role

ADIB Group is hiring a Teller - Floater in Abu Dhabi. The role delivers quality teller service to customers through accurate and efficient processing, while projecting the bank's professional image in all customer interactions. The floater is expected to be available to cover different branches in the area when required.

Key responsibilities

• Process all teller counter transactions, including cash deposits and withdrawals, drafts, telegraphic transfers, payment orders, standing orders, foreign currency purchases and sales, and cheque deposits, in line with operational policies and within agreed timeframes.
• For centralized telegraphic transfers, liaise with the Treasury department to obtain the best rates for VIP and high-net-worth customers, in coordination with HOPs.
• Serve Private Banking customers at separate counters and process other counter transactions introduced by ADIB from time to time.
• Cross-sell or refer product inquiries from prospective customers to the sales team.
• Perform general reconciliation and control activities: act as one of the dual custodians for branch vault cash and security stationery, assist HOP as the second custodian, carry out cash and end-of-day balancing, and handle general filing.
• Understand and process all centralized activities according to the Branch Operations Centralization Projects.

Required profile

• General knowledge of ADIB's institutional and retail banking products and services.
• Knowledge of ADIB's operational policies and procedures.
• Knowledge of UAE banking practices, regulations and risks, and thorough knowledge of Central Bank of UAE regulations.
• Fair knowledge of service standards and general awareness of local market competitors.
• Ability to work across branches in the area when required.
