Test Lead - Functional Testing (UAT)

About the role

Happiest Minds Technologies is looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Test Lead (Functional Testing / UAT) in Abu Dhabi. The role focuses on validating business requirements, executing test cases and ensuring the quality and functionality of financial applications through User Acceptance Testing. The ideal candidate has 5 to 10 years of experience in testing, with a focus on Capital Markets, Investment Banking, Asset Management or Wealth Management.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with business users and stakeholders to understand UAT requirements.
• Design and execute UAT test cases based on business scenarios.
• Identify, document and track defects and issues, and validate fixes.
• Work closely with development and QA teams on requirements and testing scope.
• Provide regular updates and reports on UAT progress and outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and business standards.

Required profile

• 5 to 10 years of experience in software testing, with a focus on UAT.
• Strong domain knowledge in Capital Markets, Investment Banking, Asset Management or Wealth Management.
• Experience writing and executing test cases based on business requirements.
• Familiarity with Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, strong communication and documentation abilities, and ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks with stakeholders.
• Preferred: experience with test management tools such as JIRA and HP ALM, understanding of financial instruments, trading platforms or portfolio management systems, ISTQB or equivalent certification, and experience in the UAE equity market functional testing.
