Thai Cuisine Waiter/Waitress

About the role

A full-time Waiter/Waitress is needed for a specialty Thai restaurant within a luxury hotel in the United Arab Emirates. The role delivers exceptional dining experiences through attentive, personalized and knowledgeable service, with a strong understanding of Thai cuisine, ingredients, flavours and dining traditions.

Key responsibilities

• Provide warm, professional and personalized service and guide guests through menu choices, recommending dishes based on preferences, dietary requirements and occasion.
• Take food and beverage orders accurately and communicate them promptly to the kitchen and bar teams, explaining specialty dishes and regional delicacies.
• Coordinate with culinary and bar teams so orders are prepared correctly and delivered on time, and monitor guest satisfaction throughout the meal.
• Serve food and beverages to presentation and quality standards, handling complaints, special requests and allergy-related inquiries, and escalating when required.
• Keep up to date with restaurant promotions, events and beverage offerings.
• Prepare and maintain mise en place, including table settings, side stations and equipment.
• Process guest checks, handle cash and electronic payments and support inventory control by reporting supply shortages.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, grooming and workplace safety.

Required profile

• Diploma or certification in Hospitality, Hotel Management or a related field is preferred.
• Minimum 1-2 years of experience as a waiter/waitress in a specialty restaurant, upscale dining venue or luxury hospitality setting.
• Knowledge of Thai cuisine, ingredients, cooking styles and dining traditions is highly desirable; Thai speaking is preferred.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with guests from diverse backgrounds.

Required skills

• Good knowledge of food safety, hygiene standards and responsible service practices.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while keeping service standards high.
