Thai Restaurant Hostess

About the role

JW Marriott Marquis Hotel Dubai, a 5-star hotel in Downtown Dubai with 10 restaurants and lounges serving Thai cuisine among others, is hiring a Thai restaurant hostess. The position is full-time and non-management, based in Business Bay, Dubai.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests, determine party size and seat them at a clean, available table with clean menus.
• Guide guests through the dining rooms and assist them as needed.
• Arrange tables, chairs and settings, and organise seating for groups with special needs.
• Ensure place settings are correct and that each guest has a napkin, clean silverware and other standard items.
• Check that menus are current, clean and wrinkle-free.
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas and monitor dining rooms for seating availability, service, safety and guest wellbeing.
• Follow company safety and security policies, report accidents and injuries, and complete required safety training.
• Keep uniform and appearance clean and professional, protect confidential information and company assets, and speak clearly and professionally.
• Build positive working relationships with colleagues and support the team.
• Stand, sit or walk for long periods and lift objects of up to 10 pounds without assistance.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent preferred.
• No related work experience or supervisory experience required.
• No license or certification required.
