Theoretical Knowledge Instructor – Aviation Training

About the role

Etihad Aviation Training is seeking a Theoretical Knowledge Instructor to deliver high‑quality theoretical training for student pilots, flight crew, instructors and examiners. Working in a regulatory‑approved environment, you will ensure learners acquire the knowledge, skills and confidence needed for successful aviation careers.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver theoretical knowledge training in line with regulatory requirements, approved syllabi and Etihad standards.
• Conduct courses that support licensing, qualification and development of pilots, crew members, instructors and examiners.
• Maintain the highest levels of training quality, instructional effectiveness and standardisation.
• Teach across multiple aviation subjects, leveraging operational and academic expertise.
• Collaborate with the Chief Theoretical Knowledge Instructor to address training matters and support trainee progression.
• Facilitate full‑time instructional activities, incorporating current regulations, industry best practices and modern training methodologies.
• Monitor trainee performance, provide guidance and constructive feedback, and intervene when necessary.
• Maintain accurate training records, reports and documentation in compliance with regulatory and organisational requirements.
• Promote a strong safety culture by identifying risks and supporting mitigation measures.
• Contribute to continuous‑improvement initiatives to enhance training effectiveness and regulatory compliance.

Required profile

• College degree or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience delivering theoretical knowledge instruction, preferably within an EASA or GCAA‑approved ATO conducting Integrated ATPL or MPL programmes.
• Appropriate operational knowledge and background in the subjects to be taught.
• Meets GCAA regulatory requirements (CAR‑FCL and CAR‑ORA) for the position.
• Holding or previously holding a professional pilot licence is advantageous.
