Training Manager

About the role

Holiday Inn & Suites Dubai Science Park, a 240-room hotel with 84 one-bedroom apartments and extensive meeting and events facilities, is looking for a meticulous Training Manager. The role builds an engaging, empowering and supportive learning environment so colleagues can reach their full potential and deliver memorable guest experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Run new hire orientation and onboarding, covering IHG brand standards, hotel policies and service expectations, and develop onboarding and training resources including visual aids.
• Carry out training needs analysis for the hotel, define core competencies for key positions and design training programmes.
• Build leadership strength through training and seminars, set up a departmental trainer platform and audit service standards at key points, giving spot training and supporting function heads.
• Identify high-potential talent from annual performance appraisals, build succession plans with department heads and promote continuous learning through coaching and on-the-job development.
• Monitor completion of mandatory IHG University courses and track the validity of training certificates, coordinating renewals and examinations.
• Coordinate training for operational changes such as new services, systems, equipment, updated SOPs and brand standard updates, and arrange external training and professional certifications.
• Maintain the training calendar, monitor compliance, control training expenditure and ensure effective use of training materials and resources.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Human Resources, Training & Development, Hospitality Management or a related field.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in Learning & Development or Training, preferably in hospitality, including supervisory or managerial experience.
• Fluency in English is essential; additional languages are an advantage.

• Strong knowledge of training methodologies, talent development and performance management.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, able to coach and inspire colleagues at all levels.
