Training Officer

About the role

The Training Officer will coordinate, deliver, and document technical and competency‑based training programs for operational staff at HETL terminals. This role supports safety, performance and compliance with EHS and IMS standards while fostering the development of UAE national employees.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver classroom and field training for operators, shift supervisors and superintendents, including competency evaluations and Jet A‑1 certifications.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders (Maintenance, EHS, EPCL) and external providers to execute training aligned with KPIs and operational needs.
• Develop and update course materials, assessment tools and job‑specific content.
• Plan and maintain training schedules, proficiency tests and external candidate programs.
• Support UAE National Development Programs (TADREEB, MAWAHEB, AJYAAL) and conduct GAP assessments.
• Provide training data for internal/external audits and act as an internal auditor when required.
• Maintain comprehensive training records, feedback forms and master document lists.
• Generate monthly and ad‑hoc reports on training hours, individual summaries and on‑the‑job assessments.
• Promote safety culture and IMS compliance, contributing to emergency preparedness and Life Saving Rules.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field.
• Minimum 6 years of oil & gas experience, with at least 3 years delivering technical training.
• Proven experience in UAE national development and competency frameworks.
• Hands‑on experience in safety, health and environmental training.
• Excellent English communication and presentation skills.
