Transformer Installation and Service Supervisor

About the role

As a Transformer Installation and Service Supervisor at Siemens Energy in Abu Dhabi, you will lead on‑site installation, commissioning, repair and retrofit of high‑voltage power transformers. You will ensure projects meet quality, safety and schedule targets while supporting the company’s mission to accelerate the energy transition.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all on‑site activities related to transformer installation, commissioning, repair and retrofit, ensuring compliance with Siemens Energy processes, quality standards and HSE regulations.
• Provide emergency troubleshooting during commissioning and live substation operations, coordinating with line managers for rapid resolution.
• Gather customer requirements, give feedback for new service solutions and identify improvement opportunities.
• Prepare project schedules, method statements, resource plans and forecasts to guarantee timely execution.
• Conduct root‑cause analysis to reduce non‑conformance costs and drive continuous quality improvement.
• Promote a Zero‑Harm safety culture, prepare final test reports and minutes of meetings, and analyse test data to verify transformer performance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Power and Machines.
• Minimum 8 years of experience with power transformer and reactor installation, testing or commissioning in HV substations, industrial or utility environments.
• Siemens Energy certification for transformer installation or commissioning up to 400 kV (or equivalent).
• Fluent written and spoken English and Arabic.
• Willingness to travel and work on‑site across multiple locations.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and capacity to work under pressure.
