Transportation Coordinator

About the role

The Transportation Coordinator will oversee the planning and execution of goods movement across the UAE, ensuring timely and cost‑effective deliveries. This role acts as the central point of contact between drivers, suppliers, and customers while maintaining compliance with local regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate transportation of goods, including route planning, scheduling, and shipment tracking.
• Liaise with drivers, suppliers, and customers to guarantee on‑time delivery and resolve issues.
• Monitor and maintain transportation equipment such as trucks and trailers.
• Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and company policies.
• Maintain accurate records of fuel usage, mileage, and delivery times.
• Prepare and analyze reports to identify cost‑saving opportunities.
• Negotiate rates and manage relationships with service providers.
• Train and supervise transportation staff, ensuring safety and standards are met.
• Stay updated on industry trends and implement best practices.

Required profile

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in transportation coordination.
• Strong knowledge of transportation regulations and best practices.
• Excellent organizational, time‑management, and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Fluency in English and Hindi (written and spoken).
• Valid driver’s license.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with transportation management software.
