UI Design Trainee – Specialist UI Design

About the role

du is looking for a motivated UAE national to join its Graduate Trainee Programme as a UI Design Specialist. This full‑time position offers hands‑on experience in creating user‑focused digital products across web and mobile platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Translate product requirements and user research into wireframes, user flows, prototypes, and high‑fidelity UI designs.
• Create and iterate screen designs, ensuring visual consistency and adherence to the design system.
• Conduct usability testing, incorporate feedback, and refine designs.
• Collaborate with product managers and engineers throughout the development lifecycle.
• Contribute to and maintain the design system, documenting components and patterns.
• Participate in design reviews and present work to peers and stakeholders.
• Stay up‑to‑date with UX/UI trends, tools, and best practices.

Required profile

• UAE national eligible for the Graduate Trainee Programme.
• Less than two years of professional experience or relevant university/internship projects.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating end‑to‑end design thinking and visual craft.
• Keen interest in UX, UI, and product design.
• Ability to communicate design decisions clearly to cross‑functional teams.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Figma for design and prototyping.
• Solid understanding of interaction design principles, information architecture, and accessibility standards.
• Experience working in agile product teams (preferred).
