Vice President, Centralized Payments

About the role

The Vice President of Centralized Payments will lead payment operations for Mashreqbank Group subsidiaries and overseas branches, ensuring timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices, staff payments, and related accounting entries.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all external vendor payments for Mashreqbank, Osool, Injaz, MIT, Mashreq Securities, Mashreq Capital, Mashreq Al Islami Finance and branches in Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman.
• Oversee accounting for the Injaz subsidiary, including statutory audit and preparation of audited financial statements for Board approval.
• Ensure compliance with authority delegation, invoice TAT, and internal customer satisfaction across all entities.
• Maintain accurate recording of transactions in Oracle Financials (AP, Fixed Assets, GL), HRMS, WPS, UAEFTS, I‑flex and EDMS.
• Drive system enhancements, automation, and support Oracle Payables implementation for new entities.

Required profile

• UAE national with deep knowledge of local banking and payment regulations.
• Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification and at least 15 years of progressive experience in accounting, finance or centralized payments.
• Proven leadership in managing and developing teams within a banking environment.

Required skills

• Oracle Financials – Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets, General Ledger.
• Core banking systems such as Flexcube.
• UAE payment platforms – UAEFTS, WPS.
• Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS) for audit trails.
• Strong understanding of IFRS, accounting policies and internal control frameworks.
