Vice President Flight Operations

About the role

The Vice President Flight Operations leads RoyalJet’s flight operations function, ensuring safety, regulatory compliance and operational excellence across all flights. Reporting to senior management, the role combines strategic leadership with hands‑on oversight of flight‑crew staffing, aircraft projects and risk management.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and embed a customer‑focused culture while driving continuous performance improvement.
• Maintain effective communication with other departments and ensure data‑protection policies are applied.
• Lead the department’s risk‑management framework and uphold the airline’s AOC standards.
• Act as the accountable manager for flight operations, liaising with the GCAA and other authorities.
• Provide strategic direction for safety, regulatory compliance and risk‑management practices.
• Ensure flights are staffed with qualified crew members in line with regulations and the operations manual.
• Oversee the development and maintenance of flight‑operations strategies, policies, training and technical support.

Required profile

• UAE national preferred.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in flight operations or aviation management.
• Captain‑qualified on B737 and Bombardier aircraft operated by RoyalJet.
• Valid instrument rating and FAA/JAA licence holder.
• Strong knowledge of UAE and international air legislation.
